Almost 60,750 injuries occurred in the line of duty in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Firefighting is dangerous, but some strategies can help firefighters protect their health and prevent long-term effects on their bodies from working in such demanding conditions.
